Raffle Winners Celebrate New Beginnings with Premyo sa Resibo

New year is a time for new beginnings and nowhere is this more true than for the three lucky winners of Premyo sa Resibo, who shared stories of renewed faith, the birth of a long cherished dream and even reassurance from an uncertain future.
Public relations consultant Zonnie Dejuras Espiritu was not a regular church-goer but her daughter urging her to attend first Friday mass resulted in an unexpected blessing as she received a call that she had won the P1 million grand prize in Premyo sa Resibo.
The feeling that this was a miracle became even stronger as she struggled for days to find the winning receipt, only to discover it hidden among bills during the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
“I was there at 9 in the morning and I was just praying that I could find it. None of my family and friends knew that I was stressed because I didn’t want them to be upset,” narrated Zonnie.
“That evening at home, I was looking for my phone bill and I found it near the TV. I turned on the TV and I was opening the envelope I could hear them saying they were bringing the Nazarene in the Church. Then, tinignan ko at halos himatayin ako. Ilang araw kong hinahanap and that day, nakuha ko. Totoo nga ang Nazareno,” she declared.
Zonnie is setting aside the money to assure the future of her three children and is looking at investment opportunities for her P1 million prize.
For Jorge Pastolero, who won a brand new Toyota Vios, the prize will be a gift to his wife Princess Mae, who has dreamed of putting up her own business. The sale of the car will allow the couple to build a sari-sari store which his wife will manage.
As for Charlemagne Marin, who won P100,000, the prize helps ease his worries about a possible slowdown this year, owing to the economic crisis. As a seismic surveyor dependent on overseas projects, he plans to save his prize money.
“I’m so happy because this really helps a lot during this time of financial crisis,” he said. “There might be limited expansion so for now, save lang muna ng save.”
